4096SR/4. Issued by Component Development Department. Aero Engine Division Bristol Aeroplane CO. Ltd. In view of previous tests on the B.OL.4 LP compressor 1st & 2nd stage coned assembly, which indicated that the rim of the 2nd stage disc was tipping excessively under centrifugal load, a re-designed spacer ring intended to give more support to the disc rim was incorporated in the 2nd build of the assembly. A series of spinning tests have now been acrried out to obtain dilation and axial displacement characteristics of the assembly under centrifugal loading
