Mrs Johnson is the secretary of the Urmston and District Choral Society which was formed in 1941. The first concert was given on March 30th 1941 when 'Elijah' was performed at the New Curzon Cinema. The proceeds from the concert were donated to the War Comforts Fund and the WVS Bombed Areas Distress Fund.
