Description (What the record is about)
-
The contents of this file were formerly in a bundle labelled "Great Tew, Cashier’s Vouchers, Bailiff & Agents Accounts, 1820, 1821" (90).
The contents (with one exception) comprise three series of regular accounts, as follows:
M. R. Boulton Disbursements accounts. (1-22)
Cash and Bills Received accounts. (23-44)
Farm Expenditure accounts. (45-88)
These were formerly in one chronological sequence, but have now been separated into three. Each series begins on 17 April 1820 and continues till the end of 1821. The accounts for the period 27 November 1820-12 May 1821 (9-14, 31-36, 61-72), which were sent together to Soho by Josiah Castree on 30 July 1821, were formerly in a separate unlabelled bundle.
The accounts for the period 1 January-19 February 1820 will be found in the 1819 bundle, but those for 20 February - 16 April 1820 have not been found. Each account covers a period starting on a Monday and ending on a Saturday, except where stated otherwise.
The other document found in this bundle (/89) is a memorandum which does not relate to this period. -
