Whereas Jonathan Scott has lately married Mary sister of Humphrey Sandford of the Isle, and by marriage is entitled to £84 12s. 4d, and £145 9s. 1d as Mary's share of the legacies, and other interest, and by the will of Rebecca Walker widow dec. December 25th 1725. Jonathan Scott by reason of his marriage with Mary is also entitled to £500 as sixth part of the share of Mary in £2000 appointed by Humphrey Sandford for the provision of the younger children chargeable on certain manors and messuages (January 10th 1717/18 465/583-4)as in £1000 chargeable on a farm and messuage called The Isle farm, appointed for the younger children by deed January 12th 1728/29 between Humphrey Sandford and Rebecca his wife, one part and Matthew Sandford and Richard Clough gents of other part Whereas Humphrey Sandford has paid to Jonathan Scott £84 12s. 4d and £145 9s. 1d and £500 as the fortune of Mary. Jonathan Scott in consideration of the payment by Humphrey Sandford of the several sums of money has released to Humphrey Sandford the several sums with all title and interest of Mary his wife to premises on which charged.
