Description

Letter from Edw. Williams to Rev. R.J.Davies.

He will be grieved but not surprised to learn of the death of Miss Charlotte Mytton. She was never likely to enjoy health. He is desirous of ascertaining what personal estate she has left with a view of the Executors (Mr. Owen Tudor, & Mr. Turner) proving the will so he asks Davies to send her Bank Book. He concludes Mr. John Jones received the Michaelmas Rents & paid them into the Bank, but if there are any arrears he asks D. to ask J. to send him an account of them. Under Mr. John Glynne Mytton's will the Penylan Estate now passes: one moiety to Miss Bridget Anne Mytton, and the other to Mr. Robert Harrisons' boy as the heir at law of his late mother. The rents of his moiety must be received and accumulated for his benefit until he attains 21. Davies is now the sole surviving trustee under this will and having regard to the age of this boy it appears to Williams desirable that another trustee be appointed to act with D. in this trust. There is a power in the will authorizing the appointment with the consent of Miss Bridget Anne Mytton, and he thinks that Mr. Owen Tudor would be a very proper person to be appointed,

Written from Oswestry.

In envelope directed to Aberhafesp, Newtown.
