Description

[At an Extra-ordinary Meeting of Comitia 28 May 1807 a letter from Hector Campbell to the R.C.P. 20 May 1807 was read. In it he regretted that "in a moment of vixation" he gave the R.C.P. cause for their recent application to the Court of King's Bench"; & stated that he "had the highest respect for the College and regretted giving umbrage to any members," and that should the College proceed in prosecution he was "unable to defend his conduct which in a cooler moment he condemned himself." (Annuals. Vol. XVII p. 265).
