Thomas Windus F.S.A. lived at Gothic Hall, Stamford Hill, so called after the addition in the Gothic Tudor style, to an otherwise plain 18th century structure, of a museum building, used for storing his large antiquarian collection of art and artefacts. The collection was sold and dispersed after Thomas Windus' death. The Moore family were previously related to the Windus family by marriage.
