Description

Weekly radio programme of interviews, song and music whilst travelling around the British Isles. The programme visits the Channel Islands and the port of Lerwick, Shetland Isles and interviews include those with Robert 'Bob' Copper and Mrs Elliot of Birtley

Track 2: Duration (min/sec): 1.18 Description of track: Introduction to radio programme roving around the British Isles listening to tunes and songs and how they are regarded in different localities, the same tunes being called by different names; Northern Ireland trio introduced to play three reels, the 'Rakes of Mallow'; an Anglo Scots Irish reel 'The Mason's Apron' and 'The Girl I Left Behind Me' also known with the Morris Dancers title, making it a Sussex tune, of 'Brighton Camp'
