Agenda papers including, amongst other things:

- communications from Ministry of Home Security regarding: results of bombing on structures, including shelters; provision of gas curtains in public shelters;

- communications from Senior Regional Officer regarding: deterrents against enemy aircraft landings; distribution of preliminary caution air raid warning messages to personnel; payment of driving licences for Air Raid Precautions drivers; likelihood of Germans using gas in attacks on UK; restrictions on persons being outside in certain areas from one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise; co-ordination of defence; sleeping facilities at Shire Hall; gas proofing of Sandy Report Post; use of cellars at 24 Lurke Street, Bedford as an air raid shelter; summoning of Air Raid Precautions services in the event of a parachute landing; distribution of food in an emergency; Duplicate Control Room; deterrents against enemy aircraft landings;

- communications from Ministry of Health regarding: fitness of Local Government staff for employment; notification of air raid casualties; homeless persons; Emergency Maternity Unit at Old Bute Hospital, Luton; proposed First Aid Point in Houghton Regis;

- Alternative Control Room in Bedford Borough;

- Wardens' Post and First Aid Post, Wilstead;
