The Church was formed in 1960 from a union of Trinity Church (School Street) Barrow and St Andrew's Church (Douglas Street), Walney. The Trinity Church building closed in December 1971. The Furness Presbyterian Church merged with local Congregational Churches in 1972 to form the Furness United Reformed Church.
