Description

Annual returns giving names, professions and residence of members of the Royal Clarence Lodge [Moderns]. Years 1791 - 1795 are not extant. Returns for 1805 and 1806 [AR/1148/12] include membership details for Lovelace Overton, (also known as Loveless Oviton) a trumpeter from Barbados in the King's Dragoon Guards, later the personal servant of Lt Col George Teesdale, depicted in a painting of the regimental baggage train at Newcastle upon Tyne in 1825.
