The Education subject files contain correspondence related to the development of education in Bahrain and Kuwait. The correspondence in the files discusses the role and activities of the British Council in the region, the recruitment of an educational advisor in Bahrain, the enrolment of Kuwaiti students in the Bahrain Technical School, the establishment of a hostel for Bahraini and Kuwaiti students studying in Cairo and the training of female Bahraini teachers in Iraq. Various administrative matters related to the recruitment of Egyptian and Syrian teachers are also discussed, some of this correspondence is in Arabic and French.
