In pursuance of 7 & 8 Vict. c.101, Clerks to Justices in Petty Sessions were required to transmit annually to the Clerk of the Peace, Returns of the number of summonses issued, applications heard, and orders made and refused in Bastardy. This class comprises such returns made; also certificates and other relevant papers relating to bastardy Orders dealt with by the Quarter Sessions as enumerated.
