This meant that the lodge came under the Provincial Lodge of Gibraltar so it became known as No. 5 Gibraltar. In 1810 the Battalion returned to England and met at Canterbury, Kent. In 1812 the lodge moved from Canterbury to Sandwich, Kent and then Sandgate, Kent before moving on to Portsmouth in the county of Hampshire.
