Stone giving medical advice, 1842; Roderick McDonald describing the mode of constructing an ice stack, 1857; William Ferguson [Professor of surgery at Kings College, London; appointed sergeant surgeon to the Queen, 1867] referring to his having received a baronetcy for 'services to medicine' (2 letters) 1864, 1865; Briffault' at Paris on the occasion of Lord Cs visit (1866); W. Burges about the estimate for gilding the Abbes's room at Gayhurst, 1872; Emily C.A. Somerset giving news of Lady C's sons at Eton; J.B. Boyle at the India Office trusting that she has received her screen from Vienna (headed 'Vienna Universal Exhibition' [Lady C's diary shows that she sent a screen to the exhibition in Feb.1873]); C.S. Drake, congratulations on 'Mr. Carrington's success in French; Elizabeth Marshall (servant); Georgina de F(lahaultt; 'A.E.' at Rome, long letter giving impressions of life there and gossip concerning English society in Rome (mentions Madame de Flahault and refers to the expectations of the Italians from recent English conversions, 'a Cardinal offers up a service everyday of lent for Dr Pusey and England's conversion'); telegrams from D. Carrington ('Turkey has refused the proposals of the powers') and Lord Petersham, 1877
