There is correspondence re the postwar Development Plan for education in Coleshill, particularly the problems of secondary education (the closure of the parochial secondary school and the opening of a new secondary school) and the question of religious bias (Anglican children being educated in an R.C. school) (CR2716/15/581-5; 614-28; 897; 900-2; 906; 913; 984); current problems are listed by the head-teachers in 1949 (CR2716/15/670-2; 692-4; 717); the application for controlled status 1949 (CR2716/15/726-41; 781-2); estimates 1950-1 (CR2716/15/766-7; 849-50); a temporary classroom made in aluminium by the Bristol Aerospace Co. was erected in 1950 (CR2716/15/825, 833-8); instruments of government for the secondary school, 1950-1 (CR2716/15/885-7, 908, 932-3); and head teacher's reports, 1950-1, 1951-2, 1952-3 (CR2716/15/990-1, 1086-7, 1153-6).
