He and Thomas Shore have agreed to the lands at Weston Lullingfield which were unset to Richard Griffiths. Rent £42 p.a. These agreements advance to lands by £9 p.a. Thomas Shore is to have a lease for life if he can raise sufficient stock.
Dicken will draw up the leases to Griffiths, John Eaton and Adam Downes for as short terms as he can get them to take.
He will have a bill from Mr. Minshull for £100 in a fortnight's time of less.
He is preparing declarations in ejectment against Mr. Clayton's tenants.
William Cotton, a relation to Mr. Cotton of Bellaport, having an estate in Drayton & elsewhere of above £200, wants to borrow £200 of Hill on good security. Dicken is a tenant of his for a messuage at £15 p.a. and will take care to see the interest paid out of his rent. Mr. Rowland Cotton is not yet come to Bellaport but is expected this week.
Mr. Noel told Dicken that Mr. Pershall would pay the year's interest to Hill in a very short time.
