The Lodge of the Nine Muses No. 235 was named and established in 1777 and met at the Thatched House Tavern, St. James's Street, London. In 1796 the lodge united with the Lodge of Rural Friendship No. 350, that met at the Bedford Coffee House, Covent Garden, London. The united lodge, which used the name the Lodge of the Nine Muses continued to meet at the Thatched House Tavern. The Lodge of the Nine Muses now meets at the Mark Masons' Hall, 86 St. James's Street, London.
