Edmund Downinge and Roger Rant, of London, gents., to Thomas Crompton, of London, esq., and his servant, Francis Jackson.
Rectory of Arksey, lately held by the monks of Lenton, co. Notts. [Lenton Priory], which rectory had been granted by letters patent of 25 June 1590 to Gilbert Saltonstall the elder for term of his life for annual rent of £30 with remainder to Samuel Saltonstall for his life and remainder to Samuel's son, Gilbert Saltonstall for term of his life, paying heriots of £6 13s. 4d.
To hold from the Queen of her manor of East Greenwich, co. Kent., by fealty only in free and common socage, neither in chief nor by knight service, rendering £30 annually to the Exchequer.
For a certain sum of money.
