Collection of loose prints relating to the family and career of Sir Louis William Dane, the majority captioned by Denise Bunting Dane, his daughter. The pictures were captioned towards the end of Bunting Dane's life, and there are occasional errors and contradictions in dating, etc. The collection is arranged in the following categories:. Prints 1-9 Miscellaneous large prints, the majority on card mounts. Prints 10-96 Family portraits, arranged in groups by sitter. Prints 97-116 Social scenes and official events at Shimla, Kashmir and Lahore, late 1890s-c.1911. Prints 117-125 Miscellaneous portraits snapshots, mainly in Europe. Prints 126-152 Views in Shimla: family snapshots, children's play at Peterhof, etc. Prints 153-167 Kashmir views. Prints 168-188 Views mainly at Srinagar and Lahore. Prints 189-201 Delhi Durbar, 1911-12. Print 201 shows the 1903 Durbar. Prints 202-210 Hyderabad views by Lala Deen Dayal. Prints 211-219 Photographs of prospecting operations in Jammu by Mr Osterloh. Prints 220-237 Kashmir views. Prints 238-244 Visit of the Viceroy Lord Minto to Lahore, 1909. Prints 245-258 Miscellaneous portraits: Indian rulers, North Indian ethnic types, etc. Prints 259-264 Views of Khamba Jong taken during the Younghusband mission in c.1903. Prints 265-321 Miscellaneous views in India and England. Views in Shimla and surrounding areas, Kashmir, Lahore, Ellora and Ajanta. Prints 322-340 Duplicates.
