The collection consists of the records of Wallasey County Borough Council and predecessors, including the Improvement Commissioners and School Board. The basis of the collection are the series of volumes of minutes and accounts. Records of individual departments include the Medical Officer of Health, the Borough Engineer and a large series of files from the Town Clerks office which cover areas such as civil defence, the promotion of the resort of New Brighton and housing.
