Description (What the record is about)

A revised County Court was set up by statute in 1846. Its functions were mainly to deal with plaints of land and small debts; it also, however, dealt with the Bankruptcy Acts, 1869-1890, Divorce, the Workmen's Compensation Acts, 1906-1943, and Proceedings under The Tithe Act 1925. The Nottinghamshire Court sat in separate divisions and we have the records of those following:
