The Duke of York's Lodge was named and established in 1788. In 1788 the lodge met at the Black Boy Inn, French Gate, Doncaster, Yorkshire. In 1807 the lodge moved from Doncaster to Bingley, Yorkshire, meeting at the Elm Tree on Main Street. The lodge was erased in 1828 but was subsequently reinstated. In 1828 the lodge was erased again.
