Richd. How (London) to Ann How, his mother. ".... I am sensibly afflicted with they severall uneasy affairs as to my poor brother, may it please God to encline him to these things as may make for his true peace As to his haveing bought Russell's Estate though perhaps it may not be very prudent in him to do it, yett I believe he may sell it out by parcells to advantage. Ambrose Reddall told me he did not know whether or not it would be of advantage to my brother but he intended if my brother went off it to buy it himself, seeming to think it would afford him considerable profit. - Concerned about her want of a suitable maid - Sister has not been very well ... but has been wonderfull carefull not to promote any finery
