This property, described in 1836 as a messuage and 3/4a near Swingate in Burwash, can be identified as Bunkers Hill from the boundaries listed in AMS 5779/2/1, and from the Burwash tithe map and apportionment (TD 157), which however treats the occupier, Henry Relph of Ralph, as the owner of the plot, numbered 2182. Fot teh continuation of the title to its purchase by Cecil John Miles in 1945, see AMS 6779/3/2.
