Feoffment: Thomas Halsall of Halsall, esq. to Sir Alexander Ratcliffe, Sir William Leyland, Richard son and heir of Sir William Molyneux, Alexander Standishe, esq., Edward Molyneux, clerk, Richard Halsall, clerk, Richard Cholmundeley, Henry Farington, Thomas Irland, John Eccleston, James Scarisbrek, William son and heir of Richard Banestre, esqs. and Thomas Geymeshagh, gent. -- manor and advowson of Halsall and all properties there and in Downeholland, Barton, Birkdale, Aghton, Scarisbreck, Lydyate, Mellyng, Aynetre, Inceblundell, Lyverpole, Formeby, Westley, Snape, Ormeskirke and Hurleton -- to uses se forth in indenture of 20 Aug. 1525 between T.H. and Sir W.M. Attornies: George Irland and Richard Holme, gents.
