Description (What the record is about)
-
This class, perhaps best looked on as an amalgamation of two classes, runs to some twenty bundles. The accounts, mostly drawn up on behalf of named individuals, have been grouped accordingly. First, in date order, and accounts on behalf of living or active persons and then there are executors' and trustees' accounts. The rentals, which derive more directly from pieces of property, are arranged in one bundle, JER/HBY/155, in chronological succession. There was a particularly valiant attempt in the 19th century to keep track of much divided quit rents due from the manor of Kings Freshwater, see JER/HBY/155/30.
