Description

Two single typewriten sheets and a longer copy of an article first published in 'Cookley at Home and Far Away (1930s-1940s)' by Betty Caswell, reproducing a letter from Patricia Oakley in which she discusses her evacuation from Clacton to Cookley during the Second World War. In all three pieces she recalls her experiences and feelings about being evacuated, recalls episodes from her school life, recounts various incidents of domestic life and discusses her work at the Kidderminster Post Office Telephone Exchange.
