Despatch from the Foreign Department, Government of India, to theSecretary of State for India, No. 265 of 1870, dated 28 December 1870,containing enclosures dated 5 November-5 December 1870. The enclosures consist of copies of correspondence reportingthat Syud Toorkee [Sayyid Turkī bin Sa'īd Āl Bū Sa'īd] isat Soor [Sur], shows no signs of moving by sea, and has had to call off a landattack on Muscat for lack of funds to pay his supporters. The primary correspondents are: the PoliticalResident in the Persian Gulf; the Political Agent, Muscat; and the Governmentof Bombay.
