Description

1. William Yonge of Caynton, esq., Mackworth Yonge, the elder of Ercall Hay, par. Childs Ercall and Ercall parva esq. and Mackworth Yonge the younger, gent, son and heir apparent of the elder.

2. William Holmes of Newport, mercer.

Lease and Release of a piece of land soon to be enclosed by 2 being part of a heath commonly called Calveton alias Calvington Heath par. Edgmond and lying next to lands purchased by 2 of Wm. Yonge and M. Yonge sen. on one side and extending from a gate of Wm. Yonge called the Quarry gate in a direct line over the upper end of an old ditch bank which is the boundary and divides Calveton Heath from Chetwynd Heath and down the ditch within 12 yds of a Meerstone which lies in the roadway from Newport to Hinstock and along the side of the road to the corner of the lands of 2 purchased as above. Warranties and covenants.

Considerations: £20 to Wm. Yonge.

£6 11s. to M. Yonge, sen.

£3 4s. 6d. to M. Yonge, jun.

Damaged by damp.

Endorsed: Memorandum of agreement that Wm. Holmes should maintain the roads granted within and on the lands referred to within as having been purchased by Wm. Holmes from Wm. Yonge and M. Yonge sen. and the road leading from the Heath leasowe in Calveton in the holding of Thomas Talbot to the Bridge Leasow alias Farnish Crofts.
