Description

Topographical collections, mostly relating to Windsor and Berkshire, compiled by William Bromet, MD, FSA (d. 1850); first half 19th century, with some earlier material. Bromet was surgeon to the 1st Regiment Life Guards. For details of his career and publications, mostly relating to foreign antiquities, see Proc., 1st ser., 2 (1849-53), 152-3 (obituary). With drawings, w/cols., etc., many by Bromet. Five boxes.
