Mrs Whiteman née Miss Burgess was the housekeeper at the Cathedral Choir School, Ripon, when the Jacobs were children, hence Naomi calling her at times 'Little Mother'. Writen from Sirmione, Lake Garda. A personal letter thanking her for a letter of condolence on the death of her mother and recalling past happenings in which they were both concerned [date some time in 1933]. No date.
