The Lodge of Perfect Friendship was named and established in 1785 and met at the Green Man, The Quay, Ipswich, Suffolk. In 1807 the lodge met at the Bell Inn, Bell Lane [Stoke Hamlet], Ipswich and the meetings remained there until 1820 when the lodge united with St. Luke's Lodge, No. 393 of the Admiral's Head, St. Margaret's Street, Ipswich. The united lodge took the name St. Luke's Lodge and met at the Admiral's Head in St. Margaret's Street. St. Luke's Lodge No. 225 now meets at Freemasons' Hall, Soane Street, Ipswich.
