The author writes that he has drunk the waters for six weeks but with little improvement to his health. He adds that he intends to stay until the Duchess leaves. He mentions that Mr Pulteney, Mrs Pulteney, Mr Berkeley and Dr Arbuthnot have all left Bath. He writes of his affection for Lord Burlington and how much he admires him. He sends wishes from the Duchess and Mr Bellenden who wish to be remembered to him. Written from Bath. Signed J.G.
