The series consists of detailed records of service of surgeons and assistant-surgeons, compiled at East India House c1855 and afterwards. Each volume is arranged alphabetically. IOR/L/MIL/10/70-72 refer to men who were dead or in retirement at the time of compilation, and IOR/L/MIL/10/73-74 cover those who were still serving, with additions up to 1858.
