Following the Local Government Act of 1894 the parish of North Cray formed part of the Bromley Rural District Council. Having a population of over 300 under the terms of the act, North Cray was permitted a Parish Council. The Parish Council continued until 1934 when North Cray became a part of the Chislehurst and Sidcup Urban District Council.
