From a junction with the termination of Railway No 3 authorised by the Great Northern Railway (Newark and Melton) Act, 1872, at Melton Mowbray, through Welby, Sysonby, Brentingby & Wyfordby, Asfordby, Thorpe Arnold, Kirby Bellars, Frisby on the Wreak, Burton Lazars, Great Dalby, Gaddesby, Ashby Pasture, Thorpe Satchville, Pickwell with Leesthorne, Burrough on the Hill, Somerby, Twyford, South Croxton, Marefield, Owston & Newbold, Lowesby, Cold Newton, Halstead, Tilton, Billesdon, Skeffington, Withcote, Whatborough, Loddington, Tugby, East Norton, Allexton, Goadby, Noseley, Horninghold, Stockerston, Hallaton, Glooston, Cranoe, Stonton Wyville, Slawston, Blaston, Holt, Medbourne, Great Easton, Bringhurst, Drayton, Thorpe Langton, Welham (Leics.); Cottingham, East Carlton, Ashley, Weston by Welland, Sutton Basset (Northants.); terminating in a junction with the Rugby and Stamford branch of the London & North Western Railway in Weston.

Railway No 2. From a junction with Railway No 1 in Hallaton, through Slawston and Medbourne (Leics.), terminating in a junction with the Rugby and Stamford branch of the LNWR in Ashley (Northants.).

Railway No 3. From a junction with the Nottingham and Grantham branch of the Great Northern Railway in Saxondale; through Shelford, Saxondale, Bingham, Cropwell Butler, Cropwell Bishop, Wiverton Hall, Whatton, Elton, Langar cum Barnston, Granby (Notts.); Plungar, Harby, Stathern (Leics.); terminating in a junction with Railway No 2 authorised by the 1872 Act (as above) in Stathern.
