Agenda papers including, amongst other things:

- consideration of critical articles in Bedfordshire Times by A.W.Sanders;

- communications from Ministry of Home Security regarding: powers of armed forces engaged in active operations; co-operation with industrial and commercial establishments;

- demolition of dangerous buildings; Smoke Protection Experimental Scheme; holidays and part-time personnel;

- communications from Senior Regional Officer regarding: co-operation with military authorities; disposal of unexploded bombs; deterrents against enemy aircraft landings; use of hyposulphite of soda solution on muslin for gas protection of babies; incendiary bombs; publication of bulletins of results of air raids; approval of domestic shelters; appointment of Deputy Air Raid Precautions Officer for Central Area and Air Raid Precautions Officer, East Bedfordshire Area; continuing appointments of Air Raid Precautions Officers for South West Bedfordshire Area and Bedford Borough Area; use of basements at 98 High Street and 25-35 Bromham Road, Bedford as air raid shelters; gas proofing of Sandy Report Post; exemption from military service of personnel in Rescue Parties and First Aid Parties; school shelters; protest of I.T.MacKeown at being discontinued as a Warden in Bedford Borough;

- communications from Ministry of Health regarding: deaths due to war operations; need for economy in use of copper, zinc and brass; medical and anaesthesia gases; civilian war deaths; purchase of two additional Mobile Units; proposed regional store in Bedford; provision of protection at Three Counties Emergency Hospital, Stotfold;
