Petition seeking a renewal of the Warrant for the Provincial Grand Lodge of Jamaica to Grand Lodge sent by Francis Owen, Provincial Grand Master, Mashod Shannon, Deputy Provincial Grand Master and other officers of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Jamaica. The Petitioners believe that the warrant was damaged by damp or unlawfully detained by persons unknown for 'sinister purposes'. Explains that the Lodge is working under a local copy of the warrant and with permission received from Robert Leslie, Grand Secretary. Signed by: Francis Owen, Pro Provincial Grand Master, Mashod Shannon, Deputy Pro Provincial Grand Master, Aaron Delisser, Provincial Grand Senior Warden, Moses Sanguinetti, Provincial Grand Junior Warden, Jacob Bassan, Provincial Grand Treasurer, Richard Loake, Provincial Grand Senior Deacon, Richard Jermy, Provincial Grand Senior Deacon and Jacob Nunes Da Costa, Provincial Grand Secretary.

Provincial Grand Lodge, No. 1 was granted a warrant by the Antients' Grand Lodge on 1 June 1796 to meet as No. 301 at the Masons' Hall, Port Royal Street, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. The Lodge was erased at the time of the union between the Antients' and Moderns' Grand Lodges to form the United Grand Lodge of England in 1813.
