Daniel Black of Bethersden, husbandman, and Richard Black of Bethersden, husbandman, on 1st October, 1599, at Pluckley, assaulted Josiah Johnson.
[14] Daniel Black of Bethersden, husbandman, and Richard Black of Bethersden, husbandman, on 20th January, 1599/1600, at Bethersden, assaulted Josiah Johnson.
[15] Daniel Black of Bethersden, husbandman, and Richard Black of Bethersden, husbandman, on 10th February, 1599/1600, at Pluckley, assaulted Josiah Johnson.
[16] John Sampson of Knockholt, husbandman, on 1st March, 1599/1600, at Knockholt, assaulted Nicholas Munck.
[In margin] 1st April, 1600, his fine assessed at 4d. Paid.
[17] The same John Sampson indicted for illicit games, that is dice and cards, with divers men.
[In margin] His fine assessed at 4d. in court. Paid.
[18] Nicholas Munck of Knockholt, husbandman, on 26th February, 1599/1600, at Knockholt, assaulted John Sampson.
[In margin] 1st April, 1600, acknowledged. Therefore fine assessed at 5s. Paid into the hands of the "magistri" [custos rotulorum ?] to be used for parchment.
[19] Wyborn Harris of Tonbridge, butcher, on 17th February, 1599/1600, at Sevenoaks, assaulted Roger Jones.
[20] Martin Kerke, labourer, John Kerke, labourer, William Kerke, labourer, and Isbell Kerke, spinster, all of Wilmington, on 6th March, 1599/1600, broke and entered the close of John Gorrad of Sutton-at-Hone at Wilmington and trampled on grass and corn growing there, worth £4.
[21] Francis Couchman of Tonbridge, husbandman, on 1st November, 1597, between 10 and 11 p.m. at night, at Tonbridge, broke and entered the close of Stephen Fisher of Tonbridge, weaver, and assaulted the said Stephen, and gravely wounded him in the left hand with a staff tipped with iron.
[22] William Hopkyn of Sturrey, husbandman, on 30th June, 1599, at Westbere, broke and entered the close of William Miller, and spoiled peas belonging to the said William Miller on two acres of land.
[In margin] Appeared 13th January, 1600/1, and fine assessed at 2s.
[23] George Elwyn of Marden, husbandman, on 12th December, 1599, broke and entered the close of William Woodwer, gentleman, at Bilsington, and drove away a cow and a stear, belonging to the said William.
