Copy draft deed of Covenant Marked 'to be endorsed on Articles of Partnership'.

ii) Hannah Grant, Leighton Buzzard, widow

iii) Peter John Bassett

iv) Francis Bassett

reciting death of John Grant in December 1842, leaving (ii) as his widow who has succeeded to his share in partnership also retirement of (iii) and the succession of (iv) in his place. £1250 - the share of (iii) in the partnership, has been withdrawn, and (iv) has brought in the same amount - £1250. Share and proportions of (iii) in partnership have been transferred to (iv).

Deed has already been prepared to execute release to (iii) of any claims or demands against or upon him. Also (iv) indemnified (iii), to the extent of his share, against outstanding debts and engagements of partnership.

Now (i), (ii) and (iv) promise and agree to continue to carry on business of a banker in partnership at Leighton Buzzard and Newport Pagnell for remainder of term of 14 years. Joint stock of partnership to be £7500 contributed by (i), (ii) and (iv) in equal shares. Debts etc shall be borne in equal proportions, but subject to payment to (i) of £300.

(i), (ii) and (iv) agree to keep covenants in partnership deed. (iv) being entitled to 1/3rd rather than 1/6th as in deed.

Also (iv) exonerates and discharges (i) and (ii) from all actions etc on account of partnership lately subsisting between them unsigned
