Various newspaper and magazine cuttings concerning the first ascent of Mount Everest, by Edmund Hillary and Tensing Norkey, the summit achieved Friday, 29 May, 1953.
1. A scapbook of newspaper cuttings, beginning with a Special Supplement to The Times ("Reconnaissance Expedition 1951"), and continuing with various cuttings to 1954.
2. A second scrapbook of newspaper cuttings, primarily The Times Supplement "The First Ascent of Everest" (July, 1953), with the addition of other cuttings.
3. The Times "Everest Colour Supplement" (1953). With additional cuttings adhered.
