With cases for opinion: (i) as to whether the town clerk is, by virtue of his office, entitled to the clerkship of the charities, to compel delivery of leases, and as to measures best to be adopted for securing the interests of the poor, 1829; (ii) whether the Mayor, who made the new appointment of trustees in 1787, had a sufficient estate for the purpose, and as to other matters concerning the trustees of this charity and of the charity of Daniel Harvey and his brethren; Report by T. Cross. T. Cross was a Master Extraordinary in Chancery on the matter of the Charitable Trusts of Folkestone, 1837, and draft petition to the Lord Chancellor regarding the need for immediate directions for appointment of new trustees, 1836; Particulars of the Folkestone Charities, 1837; Copy of the Folkestone return respecting Municipal Charities, 1838; letters from Richard Hobday to the Town Clerk concerning the Council's claim to receive and distribute the rents and profits from Jacob's Charity Lands, 1839; Abstract of title to Ward and Mitchell's Charities [1692-1780] and case relating to same; Abstract of deed relative to the charitable gift of Daniel Harvey and his Brethren [1650-1805], and copy letter to the Charity Commission concerning rents of same, 1860
