36 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 30½ inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion, [cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod].
Also boat boiler for land, 1833-1834.Reverse plan and sections of the engine house, plan of the tunnel; entablature and spring beams - partially coloured reverse drawing; crank, showing connection to crank and shaft of old engine; plan of cylinder and section of casing; plan of the engine houses marked "Sketch on the introduction of a 2nd 36 horse engine", with "Memorandums relative to Messrs. George Cheetham & Sons' new 36 horse engine" by William Bennett, 8 May 1841; extract from letter from William Bennett dated 11 Aug. 1842, about the starting of the engines. The reverse drawings bear letter codes.
