Double-acting engine, with 45 inch cylinder, 8 foot stroke, parallel motion, unequal beam, separate air pump beam.General and inside front views of the engine, plan of the engine - reverse drawings; parallel motion; T bobs; condenser (air pump) beam; gudgeons, plummer blocks, sockets, saddle plates etc.; parts of parallel motion [?]; plummer blocks and gudgeons for the air pump beam and T bobs; plan of the air pump and condenser (with drawing of condenser for Goodwyn and Liptrap's engines attached); sheet of notes and calculations.

For United Mines. Poldory Mine was part of the United Mines. The List of Engines made at Soho calls this engine the "Poldory Double", and notes that it was still at work in May 1798. However John Southern's List of Books says that the engine was for Ale & Cakes Mine, as do Dickinson & Jenkins [p. 343], who call the engine "New Ale & Cakes".
