Description (What the record is about)
-
[Cambridge] 2/3 page, typescript
Is enclosing letter from [Max] Perutz and paper by [Hugh E.] Huxley and [Jean] Hanson, [Structural basis of the cross-striations in muscle]. Thinks Huxley's work on muscle will be a landmark. The paper is in the wrong style for a Nature note. There is a strong case for publishing the results at once. It would be excellent if Gale could publish the paper in full quickly. If this is impossible, would like to know at once and he and Perutz will see what they can do. Tries to drum into his students that Nature notes must not be written in the style of paper. Is hampered in this case because Huxley is in America.
