Description

Correspondence chiefly of Jeremiah Milles, Dean of Exeter, PSA, and Richard Gough, 1769-84 (fols. 10-261v passim). Also includes letters of Dean Milles to Dr Ducarel, 1755-63 (fols. 5-9), William Bowyer (printer to SA), 1771 (fol. 26), John Nichols (printer to SA), 1780, 1781 (fols. 203, 205, 208), Dr Michael Lort, c. 1782 (fol. 227), and letters to Dean Milles from T. Lipyatt, 1772 (fol. 36) and the Rev. William Norris, Sec. SA, 1783 (fol. 256). Other letters to Gough are from Lord Bruce, 1772 (fol. 39), Thomas Pownall (Governor Pownall), 1773, 1776 (fols. 61, 63, 159), Sir Joseph Ayloffe, 6th Bt., 1775 (fol. 119) and Dean Milles's son, 1775 (fols. 150, 162).
