Notebook of Edward Rowe Mores, FSA (c. 1730-78; see Foster, Al. Oxon.). Consists almost entirely of drafts for his book Nomina et Insignia Gentilicia (Oxford, 1749); SAL copy annotated by the Rev. Charles Lyttelton, PSA, 'Few Copy's of this Book were printed and none sold'. Contains copies of the Parliamentary Roll (fols. 43-105v) and the spurious First Calais Roll (fols. 109-20v). See Aspilogia, I (1950), xxvi, 49-50, 159. Draft dedication (fols. 2-39v) addressed to Thomas, 2nd Earl of Effingham; that in the printed edition is addressed to Edward, Duke of Norfolk, Earl Marshall. Index, fols. 124-45v.
