The Lancastrian aircraft TW.911 fitted with Python engines replacing the outboard Merlins has now carried out 14 flights totalling 10 hours 40 minutes flying time. During these flights, tests have been carried out to prove the airworthiness of the aircraft, substantially as laid down in the schedule of tests necessary to clear the aircraft off the supply contract, which was issued by AWA.
