Ref: 4096SR/4. We have examined your scheme RL.19824 showing the arrangement for overspeeding the HP & LP Olympus Mk.4 1st & 2nd stage compressor rotor assemblies. Incorporating our suggestions to make the respective rotor centres of the same material and as dimensionally similar to engine components we find this arrangement satisfactory. This is a memo from the Stress department to Mr Stevenson Engineering
